AIMIS Mission Statement
To develop and designate affiliates and Centers of Excellence dedicated to minimally invasive procedures that safely benefit patients while reducing health care costs.
Welcome to the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery
The American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AIMIS) is the nation’s pre-eminent educator of advanced surgical techniques for women’s health specialists. AIMIS brings together hospitals, surgeons, clinics, medical technology companies, and patients by providing a platform to deliver advanced surgical procedures that improve health care for all ages.
AIMIS teaches and supports minimally invasive methods and supports members with branding to help grow and strengthen their practice while improving patient outcomes through advanced surgical techniques.
AIMIS also provides resources for patients, corporate partners, physician members, and affiliates to help foster minimally invasive surgery techniques that provide speedier recoveries with transparency and accountability. AIMIS is the only organization that concentrates on data collection.
Our goal is to focus on reducing and eliminating post-surgical complications and improving patient outcomes..
Advancing Health Care for Women Through Better Treatment Options
Minimally invasive surgery, whether laparoscopic or robotically assisted, is advancing health care for women by providing doctors new tools to accomplish the same goals as they would with traditional open surgery.
Patients who experience minimally invasive procedures suffer less pain and blood loss, with fewer complications and a faster recovery time.
As an AIMIS member, women’s health specialists derive great benefits from education and data collection. Not only do we teach minimally invasive surgery methods, but we also offer patients resources on where to find an
AIMIS accredited physician, information on what to expect from a minimally invasive procedure, and more.
Dedicated to Quality and Innovation
AIMIS physicians are dedicated to raise the standard of health care for women and to lower surgical complications with expert surgeons.
Minimally invasive surgery is not only good for patients.
It’s also good for business. AIMIS works with its member physicians every step of the way – even after you step out of our programs.
Extending Beyond the Classroom
At AIMIS, our goal of safer, more efficacious health care is not limited to the surgical suite. For this reason, we have partnered with corporations, hospitals, women’s health specialists and graduates from our program to help make the changes that will make health care for women, and our entire health care system more effective.
Partnerships are the key to the success of the minimally invasive surgery movement. Health care is too complex to assume that just one facet of it can affect the kind of positive change we need.
Only a synergistic relationship between all parties involved can deliver real results. Nobody plays a bigger part in that than our valued corporate leaders and partners.
